Does this mean that if we don\’t need to worry about licensing, we\’d use the Embedded Reporting approach (since most of our application\’s reports are simple anyways)?
We are currently developing an asp.net2-based app and we\’ve use the built-in Crystal Reports.NET as reporting. I just found out that we still need to purchase licence for CR when we will deploy the app 😦
Do you have any idea about how to host a DLL inside local reports, we have a utility library that contains some calculation methods. we would like to use it from within th report.
also Any idea about Printing local reports?!
You answers are highly appreciated.

Hai Rodel,
thanks for the compliments.
You need not have any special licensing for local reporting. However, when you are distributing your application, you can redistribute (or package it with setup) with Microsoft Report Viewer Redistributable 2005 available free at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=8a166cac-758d-45c8-b637-dd7726e61367&DisplayLang=en
best wishes,
